About us

Artificial intelligence does not build capability. People do.

The Institute of Applied AI was founded on the belief that the organisations which will use AI well are those that invest in human judgement first: leaders who understand what AI can and cannot be trusted with, teams who apply it within clear governance and cultures where thinking is never outsourced to a tool.

We set the standard for what applied AI capability means in practice. The measure of success is not how many people completed a programme. It is whether the people leading AI adoption in your organisation think more clearly, decide more confidently and govern more deliberately because of it.

Our Mission

The Institute of Applied AI exists to set the standard for what applied AI capability means in organisations: building programmes that embed governance as a practice, develop human judgement alongside AI tools and ensure that the people leading AI adoption never cede their thinking to the technology

What We Stand For

What We Believe

Generative AI does not build organisational capability on its own. The organisations that will use it well are those that invest in judgement, governance and structured adoption before they invest in more tools.

How We Work

Every engagement is practitioner-led and built around the specific regulatory and operational context your organisation operates in. We do not deliver generic programmes and we do not start with a predefined answer.

What We Measure

Not completion rates. Whether the leaders who go through our programmes make better decisions about AI, govern it more deliberately and can defend those decisions when it matters.
